Our courses give drivers and non-drivers aged 16-30 the opportunity to learn new skills to that will take you beyond your driving test to enhance your driving career. This course is subsided for young people who live in Bedfordshire. Currently we cannot accept any requests to attend if you live outside of the county.

We have a summary of useful information regarding the course:

• The course is a half a day - either morning or the afternoon please only book onto one

• Parking is available at Millbrook

• All participants will be escorted to the venue via minibus by Millbrook staff

• Millbrook has a strict no photography policy. You will be asked to cover your camera on any mobile device with issued stickers

• You will be put into a group with other attendees to attend workshops

• For those of you that may not have had a driving lesson or are currently learning to drive, you will have the opportunity to go out with a driving instructor on the city route

• For those who have a full driving licence you will learn how to correct an over or understeer on the skid pan. You also have the opportunity to practice your emergency braking at 30, 50 & 70 MPH and a Reading the Road session with a a proffessional Millbrook driver

• Vehicle maintenance and how to keep safe if you breakdown

• Advice from Road Safety proffesionals regarding the law and how to keep within it

• VR Workshop (Subject to availability)

• The course is fully evaluated and you will be required to complete a survey sent before and after the course

• We have a SEND specfic course for young people

Note for parents: We encourage ONE parent to attend the pre-driver workshop. You DO NOT need to book a space on the course. The booking form is for your young person only. Parents will receive a specific parents’ workshop, advice and information about the driver learning process.

Please note : Under 16’s are not permitted on site at Millbrook.
